Angie Kinsella

angieAngie Kinsella offers classes that are restorative, diverse, meditative, holistic, light & nurturing.

Angie considers yoga a way of life, nurturing and balancing for the mind, body and spirit. Having practised yoga for the past 10 years, Angie continues to embrace the many new experiences each day through this way of living. As she is also a practicing Holistic Therapist, Angie teaches in a manner which encourages body awareness, body integrity, developing acceptance and love for oneself, practicing stillness within movement and bringing us home to our connection to nature and the universe within.

‘My practice has been strongly influenced by the late Vanda Scaravelli’s approach to yoga. I have been encouraged to welcome kindness and a sense of curiosity into my own practice and share this in my classes. Influenced also by the practice of Vipassana meditation, I am learning that there is a sense of “undoing,” having no goal and going with the body rather than pushing or telling the body what to do in a linear fashion’. Angie structures her classes in a style that recognizes and meets all her students’ individual needs.

Angie is based in Co. Wicklow and is passionate about living a sustainable lifestyle in harmony with her surroundings. Angie runs sustainable holistic retreats from her home and enjoys encouraging life skills such as the practice of permaculture.

Caragh Egan

Yoga Teacher at Sunrise - Caragh EganCaragh Egan is the founder of Sunrise Yoga. She has been teaching yoga in Dublin since 2003. Having initially qualified as a teacher through the Yoga Therapy and Training Centre in Belfast, she has gone on to complete Donna Farhi's advanced teacher training, the Sivananda teacher training intensive in Kerala. In 2008 she studied with Shiva Rea and it is this that inspires her vinyasa flow classes.

Caragh teaches Hatha Flow yoga and believes that yoga means learning to breathe naturally and deeply. It means guiding your focus to the present moment and discovering when to exert effort and how and when to let go. Caragh's classes vary in strength from gentle restorative practice to envigorating vinyasa flow. She believes the final relaxation is a fundamental part of the class and never skimps on this aspect, using yoga nidra and guided relaxation to guide the student to that wonderful feeling of completely letting go.

Caragh also teaches prenatal and postnatal yoga at Sunrise Yoga and leads regular Active Birth workshops. She initially qualified as a prenatal yoga teacher in 2004, by completing the Birthlight diploma in perinatal teaching. In 2007, she further increased her knowledge of prenatal yoga by completing the very comprehensive Elbow Room perinatal yoga teacher training program, led by Lisa Wilkinson and Melissa Curtis. On Christmas eve, 2009, she gave birth to her son, Theo. In May 2011, she gave birth at home to her second son, Toby. She really believes that yoga contributed to her very comfortable, healthy pregnancies, natural births and easy recoveries. Caragh feels that her experience of pregnancy and birth has helped her to connect with pregnant women in her yoga classes, so that she can create a class that meets their needs.
